So the test day didn't go quite to plan... Luckily it was my brother @ianrsturbo that was riding it and not me ha (he's fine).

It looks as though the issue started at the main pivot. This area relied heavily on the structural adhesive and from what I can tell (now it's in several pieces) the adhesive didn't cure correctly. The area was reinforced with carbon but clearly not enough. Once the pivot area came un-bonded the only part to take the strain were the skinny seat stays.

BUT it did ride remarkably well before disaster!

Time to get designing a steel rear end. I will revisit a carbon rear in the future though.

What's the old saying...Measure twice, layup your entire carbon swingarm once? Thanks to a minor jig setup error the dropouts were WAY out. So the dropouts have been cut off, tubes tapered, jig setup and checked several times, carbon laid up and is now curing for 30hrs. Fingers crossed it's straight this time.
